DESCRIPTION:Join talented artist, Lucie Cooke, for The Big Summer Draw in Darwen Town Centre! It’s an opportunity for the whole family to get creative and celebrate the summer.\nThe Big Summer Draw is a totally free event being held at Fourteen Market Street (the old Quality Save building) on Saturday 17th August, and is a chance to have a go at window art. The theme is ‘feels like summer’ and we will collectively be creating a window display about what summer means to all of us. Everyone is invited to draw what they think of when they think of summer… it could be the sunshine, ice-cream, the beach, picnics or even strawberries and cream! The possibilities are endless.\nAll ages and abilities are invited to take part in this community event, and pens will be provided. Lucie will be on hand to give inspiration and guidance, so don’t worry if you don’t think of yourself as much of an artist!\nLucie did the drawings for The Shop Darwen Tower Trail, and if you’ve seen the window art around town and fancy having a go for yourself, this is your chance. The large windows at Fourteen make it the perfect venue, and we can’t wait to see you there!\nThe Big Summer Draw is a drop in event from 11am till 3pm, children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.\nSHOP DARWEN\nMake your visit a full day out with a visit to the market, shops and cafes.\n\n\nSHOP TO WIN £50 TO SPEND AT SHOP DARWEN BUSINESSES!\n\nMake a purchase at a participating business & receive an entry into a prize draw\n\n\n\n…for the chance to win £50 worth of Shop Darwen vouchers!\nWhen you spend £5 or over at a participating business, you will be given a form to complete.\nFill in your details so we can contact you if you win and return to the post-box in Darwen Market by the last day of the month.\n\n\n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you there!\n \n \n
