DESCRIPTION:FREE children’s event during the summer holiday!\n\nHow much do you know about the heritage of Darwen?\n\nWe’ve worked with artist / illustrator Lucie Cooke to create a beautifully illustrated summer Heritage Trail for children in Darwen Town Centre.\n\nWhether you’re a historian in the making or haven’t thought too much about it in the past, the #shopdarwen summer heritage trail is for everyone!\n\nCan you find the 15 different #shopdarwen businesses and the unique, hand illustrated Darwen icon displayed at each one?\nThere’s a few clues to help you along the way, and to give you some inspiration for local summer holiday activities!\n\nCollect your free trail worksheet from Sweet Vintage or Darwen Market Hall. Once you’ve finished, head back to Sweet Vintage for a small prize!\n\n(You may have to do the trail over a couple of days due to the opening times of each participating retailer.)\n\nThe trail will run for the whole of the summer holidays until Saturday 6th September, we’d love to see your photos and videos of taking part – use the #shopdarwen hashtag when posting on social media!\n\nWhy not complete the trail alongside the exciting programme of free family events at Darwen Market over the summer holidays?
