Due to a rise in cases of Coronavirus in Blackburn with Darwen, Dominic Harrison (Director of Public Health) has announced new local measures. It’s really important that we all follow these following guidelines to help prevent a local lockdown:
- Only allow two people to visit your home and always keep two meters apart
- Wear a face covering in public places
- We will be helping small business – you can do your bit by wearing a face covering and adhering to guidelines
- Please remember not to shake hands or hug people (unless they’re in your “bubble”)
- Even if you don’t have symptoms, get tested to help track cases – the mobile testing unit at Witton Academy is open Monday to Friday from 11am to 6pm (more info here)
- Keep washing your hands!

Let’s all do our bit to help to keep our family, friends and ourselves safe. Please share these guidelines with as many people as you can, thank you!
