If you love singing, are over seven years old and live in Darwen, don’t miss out of this fantastic competition!
Darwen School of Music has partnered with Darwen Town Centre and Blackburn with Darwen Council this half term to run a competition looking to find The Voice of Darwen.
The winner of the competition will have the opportunity to professionally record in the studio at the Darwen School of Music and release their own single.
Details of The Voice of Darwen competition have been released by a few famous graduates of Darwen School of Music – Cormac Thompson who has just recorded an album with Decca, Reece Bibby of New Hope Club and Leah Howarth who is now in London at Brit School, have created a video giving you all the information that you need to enter.
The competition is open to anybody from Darwen over 7 years old. Entries are to be a performance video featuring one verse and chorus of a song no more than two minutes long. These are to be submitted to the Darwen School of Music Facebook page with your name, age and song choice by Sunday 28th February 2021. Entries will then be posted on the Darwen School of Music Facebook page from March 1st and voting will take place in the form of Facebook likes on the ORIGINAL post, so share the video with your friends and family and tag away to get as many votes as possible.
The performer with the most Facebook likes on Sunday 7th March will be crowned the winner.
In the event of a very high number of entries, we may have to stop taking submissions before the deadline, so the sooner you submit your video the better chance you will have of becoming The Voice of Darwen!
