Darwen Market, Blackburn Market and Let’s Make are hosting lots of fantastic free virtual events for children in Blackburn with Darwen over the Easter holidays; from witchcraft and wizardry lessons with Professor Potter, to caricature drawing and everything in between! It’s going to be brilliant.
We know how tricky it’s been to keep children entertained over the last few months, and that children have missed out on lots of activities, too. We hope these fun free sessions will help to fill that gap and give your little ones something to look forward to over the Easter break.
Activities will be running daily from Monday 29th March – Saturday 10th April (except Sundays) and all activities will begin at 11am.
The events are free, but you have to register beforehand. Information can be found at on Let’s Make, Blackburn Market and Darwen Market Facebook event pages, where you can click through to register for the events. It take a few minutes to set up and then you will receive a link via email ready to join the activity.
If you have survived home schooling, this will be a doddle and you might even have time for a brew whilst your children are engaged and entertained!
Councillor Phil Riley, said;
“Similar activities are normally provided each holiday time within our markets, allowing children and families to spend quality time together in our friendly market environments. Whilst there is light at the end of the tunnel, with dates set out in the Government’s Road Map, we are still not able to host these sessions face to face.”
He went on to say;
“We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our markets in the coming months. We would like to remind people that stalls are open now, for essential shopping and a variety of delivery and take away options are available too.”
Book online today for activities starting on Monday 29th March at 11am. They are fun, family friendly and free.
