We’re pleased to bring you the news that there are two new stalls at Darwen Market…
Luxi Melts is a brand new stall at Darwen Market selling oil burners, wax melts, bath bombs and other home fragrance items. The stall is run by mother and daughter duo Sophie and Nicola Gregson, who are from Darwen. They originally set up as an online business in January 2021, before testing out a stall by signing up for some pop ups days at Darwen Market. The pop ups whetted their appetite and they very quickly signed up for a permanent stall.
Sophie, who previously worked for a large supermarket chain, runs the stall most days, whilst her Mum Nicola works behind the scenes. They both get involved in hand making the wax melts that they sell.
Sophie said;
“It is great to have a stall in our hometown as we already had a customer base here. We were keen to provide competitively priced products that go from pocket money items right through to luxury gift sets.”
She went on to say;
“I love it at Darwen Market, we have been made to feel welcome and there is a real community spirit. I prefer working in a market environment and meeting all the customers face to face.”
AZAAC is another stall new to Darwen Market but has been trading for a number of years at Nelson Market. They decided to move to Darwen following news that Nelson Market was to permanently close.
This family run stall has a wide range of mobile phone accessories such as cases, screen protectors, chargers and Bluetooth speakers. In addition, the stock lighters, vaping and e-cigarette products and latest ‘must have’ children’s pocket money toys.
