Do you have a warm coat at home that you no longer need? Donate it to Wrap Up East Lancashire and help someone in crisis this winter.
Wrap Up East Lancashire 2021
Wrap Up East Lancashire is a campaign started by East Lancashire Rotary Clubs in 2018. It’s a simple (but much needed and appreciated) scheme: the Rotary Clubs set up collection points for people to donate their unwanted but good quality winter coats, and these are then given to local charities and those in need. This includes victims of domestic violence, families in crisis and homeless people.
Collection Points in Darwen
Donation in Darwen has been extended until Friday 12th November, and collection points are at Darwen Market Annexe, Darwen Leisure Centre, Derwent Hall, Dolly’s Tearoom and Restaurant, Darwen Furniture & Gifts and Erin’s Place. Darwen Rotary are looking for good quality, warm coats for adults, teens and children, with no damage. This mean no tears, holes, missing buttons or broken zips. All styles and colours are welcome – the main thing is that the coat is warm and in good condition.
Donate to a Local Cause
We all need a warm coat to keep us cosy over the winter. If you have a coat that you no longer need, please donate it to this wonderful cause – it will be greatly appreciated. It’s an easy way to make a positive difference in your local community. Spread the word and let your friends and family know, too.
