We’re throwing it back to Christmas time for this blog, as it was time to present the Shop Darwen Reindeer Trail winners with their prizes last week.
#shopdarwen Reindeer Trail
The Reindeer Trail was a free activity for children during December, involving nine Shop Darwen shops in Darwen Town Centre. Children had to visit each shop and see which of Santa’s reindeer was at which via a window sticker. If they completed their worksheet to help reunite Santa with his precious herd and handed it into Sweet Vintage, they were entered into a random prize draw. Each child who handed in their worksheet also got a candy cane and a fun sticker.
Discovering independent shops in Darwen Town Centre
It was great to see children completing the trail, and being entertainment while parents/guardians did their Christmas shopping. We also had great feedback from parents, who said the trail helped them to discover new independent Darwen Town Centre shops – music to our ears!
Three lucky winners
After doing the random prize draw, it was time to present the lucky winners, Henry, Adrian and Jessica, with their prizes. Each child received a £10 Shop Darwen to spend at any Shop Darwen participant, what a treat! We have an exciting new shop joining the scheme very soon too, which we think is guaranteed to appeal to the children.
A huge well done to every child
Henry, Adrian and Jessica were all thrilled to have won, and we’re sure they’ve been telling their friends at school all about it. All three children were extremely polite, and they all gave us a lovely smile for their photograph. Please join us in saying well done and congratulations to them.
