We’re thrilled to welcome independent record shop, Tower Music, to the Shop Darwen Scheme.
The Bridge Street shop opened in June 2023. Owner, Lee Arnold, has lived in Darwen for twenty years, and has wanted to open a record shop for as long as he can remember.

Tower Music sells a diverse collection of vinyl, CDs and cassettes, across all genres – you’re guaranteed to find an old favorite to add to your collection, and come across something that you haven’t heard before.
You’re also guaranteed to get a warm welcome from Lee. When asked what his favourite genre of music is, he told us after much deliberation that it’s progressive rock and funk soul, but he’ll happily chat about any genre! Lee notes that Darwen is a town that’s passionate about music – we are home to the UK’s biggest free music festival after all. Tower Music was a much needed addition to our town centre, and we’re very happy to have them as a Shop Darwen member.
Supporting Darwen’s independent shops
The Shop Darwen campaign is all about supporting and celebrating Darwen’s independent town centre retailers. Simply collect an entry form at any participating Shop Darwen business when you spend £5 or more, write on your details and post it in the postbox in Darwen Market for your chance of winning £50 in Shop Darwen vouchers.

Tower Music is open 9am till 5pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They accept both cash and card, and they also buy second hand records. The best way to get in touch is by visiting the shop in person, but you can also email Lee on towermusicdarwen@gmail.com.
